Senior Class GRADUATION EXERCISES What Can SchoolsiDo to Improve Family Life was the theme of the graduation exercises held in the school auditorium Friday evening, June 6. This theme was car- ried out in the form of a panel discussion led by Leroy Riddle, Jr. The members of the panel were: Thomas To- karz, .Ioan Haynes, YVilliam Cloward, Girlean Vtlilliams, Jean Goodrich, and Edna Lawson. The invocation was made by the Rev. C. J. Jakuhowski. Mrs. Geyer directed the Choral Club in four numbers: The Lost Chord fSullivanJ, Over the Summer Seas tVer- dij, Golden Glow CDe Brantj, and The Old Refrain lKreis- lerj. Margaret Ashley of the Sophomore Class was the pianist for the entire program. A check to be used to help defray the cost of the electric bell system recently installed in the school, was presented by the class president, Stewart Guthrie, to Mr. Hulnphreys, who received this gift for the school. Thomas Tokarz was presented to the audience by Mr. Humphreys as the honor graduate on the basis of his record for scholarship, achievement, and loyalty to the highest ideals of the school. Leroy Riddle, Jr. received the Chesapeake Award for outstanding achievement in the field of Science. Willialii Cloward and Girlean VVil- liams were presented as the leading graduates in their four-year scholastic averages.
