in DEDICATION We, the Senior Class of 1957, with respect and admiration, dedicate this yearbook to Miss Marguerite Steele, a former member of our high school faculty. Miss Steele attended Wellsboro High School in Tioga County and was graduated from Mansfield State Teachers College. She taught briefly in Del Mar Township, Pennsyl- vania, and in 1920, she moved to Washington, D. C. Here she attended George Washington T University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. While attending the University, Miss Steele was employed by the United States Treasury Department as a supervisor in the MARGUERITE L' STEELE currency department. After six years, she be- gan her teaching career at West Pittston High School, specializing in the social sciences. Besides teaching, Miss Steele has been interested in various educational and social or- ganizations, such as the University Women's Club, the Professional and Business Women's Associa- tion, and the National Educational Association. As a member of the local branch of the P. S. E. A., she has been chairman of the legislative committee for a number of years 3 and she has also been sec- retary of the Parent-Teacher's Association.
