WEST HIGH SCHOOL PHOENIX, ARIZONA ln Septemberof1969 plansforVVestl-lights newScience wing and Music building wereformulated. Ground breaking ceremonies were held on June 25, 1971 ,construction began immediately. Included luxuries to these S1,595,101.66 buildings are, forthe Science wing, an elevator for physically handicapped students, a multi-use lecture hall with excellent lighting and acoustical treatment. lt is designed to accommodate the latest develop- ments of all sciences. The Music building consists of four large rehearsal rooms, numerous souncl-proofed practice rooms, includingtrueensemble practice rooms. Particularemphasiswas givento acousticaltreatmentand air-conditioning. Completion date was July 17, 1972.
