WESTERNER 7 I To challenge those things which must be obtained. To seek out that which must be sought. This is what was strived for in the 1970-'71 school yeai. We can be proud of the accomplishments of our last year at West with the foundation laid for open campus. There were other such achieve- ments as the raising of 81,754.16 in magazine sales, the Mayor's 2 WEST HIGH SCHOOL PHOENIX, ARIZONA Youth Advisory Board, and finally a flag pole that we could pledge allegiance to. There will be memories of all kinds for us when we leave. Some of these memories were captured in the eye of a camera, but not all will be preserved. However, all will be ours, to stick in the draw- ers of our minds and cherish. As we come to the fork in the road, we are on our own to decide which way we will go. We can be confident that the skills and the knowledge that we have obtained will lead us in the right direction. Our destination reaches out away from us. For some, it is close, for some, it is distant. Some will go alone, and some will go in pairs. But one thing we can be sure of, we will all get there.
