How strange these words sounded when we heard them three years ago. Although we cherished thoughts of graduation, then they seemed absurd. After all, we had so much time before us. These memorable three years are drawing to an end. Now, just as man has 'J marked and divided the passage of time, we are able to mark and divide our stay at Western. p The Era of Bewilclerment may best describe our freshman days. We gazed 35:4 with timidity at our surroundings and were a bit overwhelmed by new responsi- 3 bilities. Q Very soon we advanced up the ladder of time to a new Era of Progress. We Q- became accustomed to our school, met new friends, and received help and guidance f I K rom our teac ers up - f h . Finally, we aproached the most important period of time spent in school. It may be best termed the Era of Maturity. We found ourselves called upon to set examples for others who depended on our leadership and experience.
