It is with sincere regret that we ride iorth as pioneers to our chosen fields of endeavor. When we first entered Western as tenderfeet, little did we realize the pleasures that were to be ours. Now that we are seasoned hands, having been patiently molded by our teachers, can we appreciatethe harrowing experiences, the many ioys. the wonderful friends. and the many activities that we have been privileged to be a part of? Our gratitude goes to those who were so patient with our childish whims, and helped us to achieve this glorious day in round-up time. When we have galloped out oi the big corral, and the dust settles in a few years, may this Record oi the class oi Ianuary, 1953, re- kindle your memories of Western. It is our hope that you meet success in your undertakings, as did the pioneers who proudly built this great school forty years ago. 3
