The nights of December 3, 4, 5, and 6, 1952, brought about a great stampede to our old Bar Ranch which will always be remembered. As the dudes were herded into the West Auditorium, cries of Go West Young Man echoedi throughout these here parts. When the orchestra. under the able leadership of Mr. Maier Hopalong Levin, gave the downbeat, the curtain rose on the biggest, the best, the most extravagant extravaganza ever pro- duced this side of the Schuylkill. This great production was made possible through the efforts of two-gun Selden Cary and our talented belle, Mrs. Vir- ginia Lingentelder, who rounded up folks from all over the school. Combining their maximum efforts to present this completely original musical comedy, Go West Young Man, were Zimhle ,David Quigley ,.L,,,,Philip Deputy ,Harry Tuft ,Gerald Smith, David Shrager i the A Cappella Choir, the Ballet Club, the Orchestra, and a cast picked from the entire student body. Along with this round-up of cowpokes labored the art stait under Mr. Cary's direction. These Wranglers were quick on the draw to create the most unusual and magnif- icent scenery ever viewed on a high school stage. Others who helped make this production a success were the ranch hands, otherwise known as the stage crew, and the federal men, or as they are more commonly called, members of the Board of Directors, who were in charge of tickets and publicity. By the cheers of the audience, who went plumb crazy over each perform- ance, we knew that our ranch had come through with another smashing success to add to all those Western has accumulated in past years.
