Fort Years of the West Catholic Tradition . . . In Christian Education This was West Catholic. A priceless photo groups the entire faculty and student body on the front steps of the pioneers' temporary home in 1916-17, Transfiguration school. Faculty members were Brother Francis Neubeck. S.M., Father Walter Tredtin, S.M.. principal, Brother Joseph Janning, S.M., and Brother Aloysius Ebert, S.M. All are still active in education work. Some have since pronounced vows and are now scholastics. This is a Blue and White find-your-old-friends feature. -fi J Christian education, the combining of the principles of our faith with the necessities of present day training, is a must for today's Catholic. The rare ability to subtly accent and deftly administer Catholicism is a characterstic of the methods of teaching common to West's mentors. The test of time has proved its feasi- bility, since forty years of wear and tear finds this system still flourishing. Though immortalized along the corridor, past principals find more permanent remembrance in the minds of over 10,000 grateful students.
