G I G HIGHLIGHTS CORONATION CEREMONY The coronation of the 1966 Homecoming Queen, Miss Eliza Estrada , was a spectacular event, The colorful ceremony was held at half-time during the West Qso - Sinton football game November 18 . Members of the band, forming aheart around the Queen and Her Court, played Let Me Call You Sweetheart . The drill team made an arrow through the heart. Mr, Welder Brown, president of the school board, crowned the Queen and presented the Queen and the Duchesses with bouquets of flowers . The Queen was escorted by Mar- io Espericueta and the Duches ses were Miss Alma Araiza escorted by Marcos Noyola, Miss Aurora Amaro escorted by Iuan Gonzales , Miss Esperanza Moreno escorted by Max Estrada, and Miss An- tonia Longoria escorted by Ioe Bernal. HOMECOMING GAME Afield goal,made after time had run out, gave the Sinton Pirates a 21-19 win over the West Qso Bears in a breathtaking football Homecoming game played in Cab- inass Field November 18. When time ran out, the score was tied 19-19, but a penalty was called against the Bears on the final play. The Pirates took advantage of their opportunity and kicked a field goal to win the contest. Seniors playing for West Oso for the last time were George Wil- liams , Phillip Si1T1S , Delton Young , Douglas Harris , Wil Jack- son, Calvin Todd, James Savere and 1-lermie Thomas . Q ysrrs Q ,
