CLOSING ........ 3 J.T., We knew you as a friend; you talked with us, you listened to us, and you gave advice to us when we needed it. The door to your office was always open to us. Your school spirit showed in everything around you- in your yellow and black car, and in the pins and pen- nants that decorated your walls. You never missed a sporting event, play, or extracurricular ac- tivity. To you, our friend with the so familiar smiling face, we wish the best of everything in your new ca- pacity as principal of Mountain High School. DEDICATION We, the Aries staff of 1978, present to you, the graduating class of Mountain High School ’78, our book “CHANGES”. We would like to reflect upon one major change that occurred dur- ing our high school years. This year Dr. John C. Curry and Mr. Bruce D. Berrian retired. We recall the patience, un- derstanding, and leadership that these two fine men gave Mountain High students during their seventeen years of devot- ed service. Throughout their years at Mountain, these two gentlemen have given us knowledge, guidance, and en- couragement. Their enthusi- asm, concern for the individual student, and dedication to scholarship has benefitted thousands of Mountain High students. For these reasons and many more, we sincerely thank them. With great respect, we, the Aries staff of 78, proudly dedi- cate our yearbook to Dr. John C. Curry and Mr. Bruce D. Ber- rian. Helene Kushner Editor-in-Chief David Stein Associate Editor Marla Hander Associate Editor 4 To each and every member of the Class of 1978. CONGRATULATIONS!! Our relationship at Mountain High has been, I trust, rewarding to you as it has been enjoyable to me. As you progress through life, get involved, become an enthusiastic member of society and don’t let the other person cheat you out of a piece of the action-assume your responsibility. You have had the great experience, at Mountain High School, of standing on your own two feet. I hope you have ac- cepted the challenge. In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson: “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” Class of ’78 - Mountain High School was yours - it was mine. May there always be a Mountain High School. Bruce Berrian Class of ’78, One of the fondest memories I have of Moun- tain High is of the activity that centers around the production of Aries. The yearbook staff has always had a warm devotion to the welfare of their school and we are very proud of their pictorial record of what Mountain is all about. You, the class of ’78, are carrying on this tradition. I will miss sharing with you the antici- pation and excitement that comes at the end of the year when you present Aries ’78 to the students and staff, but my thoughts will be with you. Class of ’78, you too, have added to my storehouse of memories, and like those who have gone on before you, have given so much to make my years at Moun- tain enjoyable and reward- ing. May you, as I, be able to leave Mountain with many fond remembrances. John C. Curry 5 6 7 ADMINISTRA TION DR. JOHN C. CURRY Principal, Retired, December 1977 MR.
