Nlurray Henry Mecke Superiors, Principals, Teachers ea th, Physical Ii l., Ath etics finance, Contracts, and Supplies The school system is like a ship with the Board of Education at its head as ship's masters. Through our twelve years of training we have alyvays felt the skillful, reliable hand of the Board at the helm. It is this board of five that must keep our ship, the school system, always prepared to meer the challenge of time, which tends always to make obsolete anything which does not advance with it. It is the Board of Education that alfa A selects our faculty, provides for the erection and maintenance of our schools, and sets the standards of our education. As the years of our voyage have slipped past, their task has become more difficultg new de- mands have been made upon them and new problems presented, all re- quiring not only training, but also an unerring judgment and complete understanding of the situations as they have arisen. XX'e believe that the Board of Education has all these qualitiesg and, therefore, we leave our ship in their hands to be berthed safely at the end of her trip.
