' R Qsf ,K ' Af g eese! , Q rr V A. - .qg-uv ,,.,,-up--f! ,., :yr The workings of the modern secondary high school is very complex. Capable leadership and an alert staff 'is needed to keep things running smoothly. West Night has been so fortunate in having both leadership and a hard working staff. Principal since 1944, Dr. Ray Lambert has been striving to improve the program of studies as well as the quality of instruction . WEST NIGHT'S HARD WORKlNG STAFF These four people help you get through high school. Among them, they make it possible for you to obtain the books and supplies you need, programs of studies, reports, office records, refreshments during the recess period, assemblies and, in addition, see that there are teachers for each class. Any of you who had business to con- duct in the office must remember the warm smile of our secretary, Mrs. Dorothy Carlyle. Our Treasurer, Henry Wehman, does a rn-iltitude of work connected with the finances of a large night school. Henry has been with us since 1945. Mr. Ed Kipp, our bookroom amanager has been with West Night both as a student as well as a staff- worker since the early '30s. lncidentally, Ed married a West Night student! Mr. John Kuchenmeister is well -'lm-iown for his handling of student activities, pictures and a host of other Work. For many of these people, the simple ceremony of citizenship is the culmination of many years of hardship and uncertainty, sacrifice and suffering. We are glad these fine people decided to become Americans. We wish them much happiness. They will demonstrate how free people can gain personal accomplishment and satis- faction. America will be a better place because of these--our newest citizens! llllil 'lm 'M X o .. ,'. 1112: A . A A i.-sllIi ,..-.-, 4'-f4,u1- rr - i H' 5'l'n'f Q 6 f 3 il ,i , K I' : xffi V F T, Hr f .
