Members of the National Honor Society are selected by merit on the basis of scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Once initiated they are pledged to continue to uphold these standards in their school and community. Participation in all forms of school activities by individ- ual members is stressed more than club projects. The club holds two candlelight induction ceremonies each year. In the fall seniors are inducted and in the spring a small number of juniors become members, to ,, serve as the backbone of the club for the following year. Boykin, Advisor - Mr. Milligan Audio- Visual Club The Audio-Visual Club was created to help the faculty in the presentation of movies and filmstrips, the making of sound tapes, etc. The A-V Club, during the past years, has added three new pieces of equipment to better meet :he audio and visual needs of the individual teachers. With the necessary basic tools the club possesses, it is well able to repair its own equipment. The A-V Club is also in charge of the lighting system in the gymnasium, in addition to the portable sound system which can be set up in the gym in a matter of minutes. The Club this year has sponsored two movies, The Great Locomotive Chase and PT, lO9. With the money that the Club earned, the members went on a field trip to television station WLW in Columbus. The Club's officers were Dave Clark, President: Iim Boyd, Vice-President, Dawn Hosler, Secretary, Ted Denman, Treasurer, and Ioe Wilson, Program Chairman.

Under the direction of Mr. Swinehart, the club sponsored a variety of activities to Teen Tyme, and planted shrubs around the school sign. A bake sale was also held to raise funds for Dollars for Scholars. Student Council is taking steps to rise to even higher standards in the future. Officers of this year's Council were President Tom Tiltong Vice-President, Becky Huthg Sec- retary, Debbie Henderson, and Treasurer, Bob Beroset.
