these four cycles are a representation of our four years in west morris mendham high school. each cycle represents one year of our lives. the meaning behind each, tells its own stories, and for some, holds memories that will last a lifetime. the first cycle is small and down in the corner. this is our freshman year. the main idea of everyone was, to stay out of the way of Sen- iors. they were the top, and you were the underdog. you couldn't wait till the next year, time just dragged on. four years seemed like an awful long time. ten months went by and you're no longer a small child. the soph- omore year was the easiest. it was just before the tension of junior tests. you can take it easy, time sort of floats by. then the easy life is over, you're suddenly thrust into a more nerve-racking period. the third cycle was placed in the middle because this was the most important year of high school. a beautiful saturday morning wasted, because you had to take SAT's. and before you have tim to yawn, they have you taking achievements and more SAT's! does it ever end? no time to waste, keep your average up, look for colleges, breathe . . . take tests, get physicals, class picnic, junior prom, breathe . . . it's almost over. summer comes and goes, with its sunshine, parties, picnics and the shore. the last cycle is very large and its onthe top, this is our Senior circle. we've finally made it. three years under our belts and one to go. can you make it, can it be done? but before you have time to answer, it's time to leave. the girls are running around trying to find a prom gown, while the boys are running around trying to pay for the bids. we sign each others yearbooks, switch our rings and the tasals on our hats. we cry for friendships made over the years, and we promise to keep in touch. how can it be over when you don't even remember it starting? ,fy- fxf j 73.
