Far unknown lands are soon dis- covered by the geography classes. Rules and regu- lations for governing our country are also discussed in civics. Mrs. Louise Dorsett takes her students back to ancient civilizations and empires in her world history classes. Sectional surveys, initiatives and bulletin- boards are parts of Mr. Harold Ritchie's course as he tries to relate United States history to juniors. Students of English not only studied the works of others, but also analyzed them in themes and expressed their views in reviews of books. movies, and plays. Many attended live performances and visited art galleries to gain a first-hand experience of the many forms of self-expres- sion. Other students were becoming aware that there are ways other than the English language by which to express oneself as they were introduced to French. Some of these conducted more in-depth studies in French ll and French Ill.
