This first year at the new school has seen not only the people connected directly with the school, but proud townspeople as well, display gratifying interest in W. M. H. It has seen civic pride grow as a result of new activities for the young people of West Monroe. Businessmen, parents, faculty, and students have backed WV. M. H. wholeheartedly the entire year. In sports, recreation, activities, and study program, cooperation from these peo- ple has made '53-'54 a success. The students and faculty have used the modern facilities provided in a spacious, up-to-date building to create a well-rounded program in every phase of school life. On the following pages are pictures of life at W. M. H. S., compiled in an effort to show not only the people that have played a part in the establishment of our school, but also the organizations, activities and attainments that have made the year memorable. The Rebel- aire hopes to reflect the spirit of W. M. H. in its first year.
