Mrs. Fagan came to our school only a few years ago, She moved to Iran with her husba nd, Richard's new job. Some of the things she did were Cheerleader sponsor, Pep Club sponsor, a good friend, not to forget teaching Spanish and Algebra. That looks cute! HOORAY I The last day she was here was Dec. 17. Almost all of the 8th and 9th graders came to the going-away party during second lunch, When it was all over, she stood at the door and said Bye to every- one. Mrs. Fagan, we won't forget if you don't. Pam Hareson Having fun? THE HAPPY GROUP! The Faculty Par ty. QUE ES ESO? The Sponsor A present hom everybody. Bodg Paesfdewts Q, A X A ,, .... X ,,.. The first and second semester of this year's Stu- dent Council would like to show our appreciation to Mr. Lauchlan for what he has done for the students here at West. We wouldn't have had as many ac- tivities this year if we didn 't have him here to help organize and supervise at all the activities sponsored by the Student Council. We would like to thank him especially for all the help he gave us with the successful peanut sale, without him we would have been lost from the start. We need more teachers like Mr. Lauchlan to keep our Iilill motto WEST IS BEST AND EVERYDAY IT 'S GETTING BETTER AND 50. BETTER. qivirs. From these activities they were able to add over 35100. O0 to the student body fund. Both first and second semester cabinets combined to plan the annual Date With Dad ni ht with the theme Barnyard Bash. Melinda Wyatt and her Dadgprovided musical entertainment, des- sert, coffee and punch were served, and the highlight of the even- ing was the appearance of Mr. George Sharp w o hypnotized twenty girls and their dads for a most hilarious evening. The second semester Girls' Lea e cabinet sponsored the an- nual Mother-Daughter Dessert wiilthe theme It's A Small World. Table decorations, made by the girls, were dolls repre- senting the various countries. The stage setting was a large globe of the world. Musical entertainment and a fas ion show completed the evening's activities. 1971-'72 was one of the best West ever had in Girls' League activities and a wonderful learning experience for both semesters' cabinet members. Maybe we won't miss the tardies, detentions, referrals, homework, paper pick-up, swats, report cards, unsatisfactory notices, and the other nice things that go along with school, but remember the smiles, friends, laughter, and all the fun times that were spent during the year because West is best . So West closes another school year in hopes that the seventh and eighth grades will all be back in September and knowing the ninth graders have spent three memorable years here. As the ninth graders go on to high school, theywill remember West has taught them best. ' BY Kelly McNatt QLUTUGRAPHS
