Techniques practical for real life . ome Economics Department offered five different courses to enable students to experience different which they would face in the future. Foods I and II class taught students to cook a wide variety of different foods from foreign countries. Interior Design provided experience in planning organiz- ing and decorating a dream home. The emphasis shown in decoration was to use resources at hand and to make items that will be decorative as well as a fun self- satisfying project. Compatability marriage partners money managemen and child care were a few of the units covered in Prepara- tion for the Future classes. Students did just that prepare for as well as become aware of the future. TACT. Teacher Aid Co-Overative Training, provided a way to learn how to work with young children in a school setting. During the second semester students worked as aides in an elementary school. The students also used media in assisting the classroom teachers. Clothing I and ll helped students to gain skills necessary for beginning and intermediate clothing construction.
