MATHEMATICS Students receive more individual help .everal teachers ini the Mathe- matics Department developed an individualized approach to teaching Basic Mathematics. The aim of this program was to enable each student to progress at his own rate. These teach- ers were assisted by several eleventh and twelfth graders who served as tutors. Computer math students were aided by the addition of a teletype con- nected to the University of New Mexi- co computer. This meant that stu- dents had access to the computer during their free time in the after- noon rather than having to use the TVI computer before school and on Saturdays as was done in previous years. Enthusiasm of the students created enough people for two Biology II classes, but still only one was offered. Many of the semester courses had a remarkable turnout.
