T Health Occupations was a two year course preparing students to enter a career in the health field. Juniors received intensive training in basic bedside skills and anat' omy and physiology the first se' mester. Second semester was de- voted to observation of various different health facilities in the community. Seniors were in a cooperative on- the-job training program getting pay and high school credit for their services. I Black Student Union was a new club at WMHS. Many students of different races joined in to help promote Black culture. They learned about famous Black people, the African language and cultures. A dance was sponsored at WMHS and also at Model Cities. Sponsors of BSU were Mr. Fantozzi, counseler and Miss Mary Steele, English teacher.
