Staff publishes nine issues, -L one features student talent Helping Lise Ballard with an article for the newspaper is Roger Gerdes. Jim Dhaenens is showing Laurel Cummings and Rhonda Vaughn a new page design for Mus- tang Wqrld. Being'a member on the staff on the Mustang World means more than having a little blue press pass to run around with. It means meeting people and getting into the atmos- phere of school activities by being on hand to report them. The Mustang World was published monthly at ten cents a copy. In one issue the student body participated, contributing their creative work. Between monthly issues the staff planned layouts for the next news- paper while the photographers took pictures of things happening a- round school. Making up part of the fourth period woodwind section are ftopj Dean Mann- ing, James Taylor, Clinton VanBibber, Richard Dailey, Jackie Baca, Antoin- ette Baldonado, Pam Wilson, Gary Wo- od, Tim Baca, LeeAnn Dahlkoetter, Connie Drace, Kathy Trujillo, Debria Price, and Joan Pulakos. 146 musicians comprise two bands Marching at football games, perform- ing in concerts, making one hundred foot spirit banners, and playing in pep assemblies was only part of being od had a membership of sixty-live. The bands combined for marching at games and played as two separate bands in concerts. a band member. Studies in the bands were aimed at individual improvement and group co-ordination and control. Eighty-one students participated in second period band while fourth peri- Mike Ramirez, Ron Bennett, Forest McDonald, Mike Baca, Howard Beal, Doug Lawrence, and Eddie Carr drummers, warm up for rehearsal at the beginning of fourth period.
