Making it easier to teach in class and use materials worth using are only some jobs of the Audio Visual aides. Ditto work, mimeographing trans- parencies, and laminating of rare pamphlets are done. All typing is done by the Vocational Typing class, and other office helpers are trained by Mr. Roy Rivera. Mis. Viola Medina and Mrs. Delores Lloyd assist and help instruct. A work order is submitted by the teacher a day before the work is need- ed. The order is fulfilled by aides throughout the day and delivered to classes when scheduled. Distribution and service of AV equip- ment is also done in the Media Center. Overhead projectors, tape recorders, slide viewers, record players and movie projectors are the most borrowed equipment. There is no limited time for using machines but a close record is kept. Likewise, the mailboxes are kept in the Media Center. The mail, special notices and anouncements are boxed by the student aides. Teachers pick up their own mail. Distribution is done through this procedure. During the summer vacation, there are plans to expand the AV center in order to increase their services and better utilize their time and space. Teachers' aide, Mrs. Delores Lloyd, does typing among numerous other jobs. Train- ing the students who work in the Media Cen- ter and assigning them their work is part of her work day. Running the ditto machine is part of the daily routine in the Media Center. Beatrice Chavez and Kathy Sanchez run off a quiz for a math teacher during their assigned work period. Use of the laminating machine is demonstrated by Mr. Roy Rivera as Janie Rodgers and Jo Ann Duree look on. After an order has been completed, Marvin Sanchez and Terry Melquist, seniors, prepare to deliver the equipment desired.
