Pommerettes give twenty performances during year Thirty-three enthusiastic junior and senior girls belong to Pommerettes. A clinic was held the second week of summer for the girls to learn four different rountines for the football season and decide on their two uni- forms. Pommerettes sponsors, Mrs. Nicki Bertenshaw and Mrs. Beverly Parker made the clinic possible. After that the girls met every two weeks during the summer. In January a statewide clinic com- petition was held at HHS. Pomm- erettes followed a winning tradition by taking second place this year. An annual fashion show was held in the spring. Giving suggestions before beginning a dance to help make movements more fluid is a visiting instructor. o dern D ance helps members express individualis m Modem Dance is a club organized to help students express their indi- vidual feelings through dance. The rhythm is usually set by a drum and every type of music from Bach to Dylan is used.
