Members of ETA include Qlstl Carolyn Centeno, Carolyn Jacobs, Klaudia Balewaski, Rodney Urioste, Richard Hoskieg C2ndJ Mei Hua Lindstrom, George Platero, Althea Lovato, Edward Fort, Emelda , Carrillo, and Mrs. Roberta Demaret. Members prepare for vocation, teach at other schools -Future Teachers of America helps prepare students for a vocation as a teacher. Activities of the club included two teaching days in March, where mem- bers observed and taught students at junior high and elementary schools. Members also attended a state con- vention in Santa Fe, April 2-3. Other projects included a candy sale in the fall, and a school-to-school pro- gram. Winners of a Duo-Drama City meet, Larry Smith and Scott Ware, display the trophy they won for a cutting from HAR- VEY. Larry is working for an Intemational Thespian scholar- ship. 196 Organizations The first presentation of the Drama Department was the comedy Harvey. Members worked long hours to put on this successful performance. 'Visitor from a Small Planet' followed. This was student directed. An Evening with Saroyan, on Feb. ll-13 included two one-act plays, Hello Out Therei' and The Cave Dwellersf' To belong to the Thespian Society a person must eam 10 points, gained by helping in productions. A spring variety show and other one act plays were given throughout the year.
