In addition to required subjects and a large variety of vocational and elective courses, three new sub- jects entered curriculum. These were housing, ROTC, and boys' home economics. Faculty members accepted responsibilities as advisers of organizations. They also chaperoned at dances, pep rallies, and sports events. In addition to these extra- curricular services, faculty members performed their daily duties as teachers in the practical portion of school life. Guidance counselors aided in the selecting of helpful courses for the future and supervised the PSAT for ju- niors and the SAT for seniors. Senior Suzanne Price works for her father by typing some forms at Woodward-Warren Refrigeration Company. reassignments delay beginning of student activity As days, weeks, and months passed, daily routine and special events depicted student life. Reassignments of students from different schools added much to the kalei- doscopic picture. Each student added to the unity of every day by just attending school or taking part in clubs, sports, and other organizations. Daily routine was a large part of student life. Each day brought friends together, and the familiar sounds of announce- ments, the new bells, conversation, and locker doors became evident. Special events such as Tacky Indian Tacky Day, Homecoming, pep rallies, Student Council Day, and Junior-Senior broke the monotony of routine.
