tribe looks at activities through 'kaleidoscope' Kaleidoscopic - possessing many facets. To portray the numerous facets of West, the staff chose Kaleido- scopic Reflections as the theme of the 1971 Toma- hawk. Memories of 1970-1971 included faces and ac- tivities - faculty, curriculum, student life, athletics, organizations, students, and community. Challenges in each area helped students to prepare for the future and to cope with people and situations. The whole pic- ture included former West students and those who had previously attended other schools. Each one was a part of the kaleidoscope of memories, and all created the image of West during 1970-71. Symbol of student body spirit, the West Indian oversees all activities taking place in the school gym. During a Halloween club activity, junior Kim Pittman participates in Campus Life's haunted house project. Seniors Joe Sadler and Donnie Stephenson imitate the homecoming court during Tacky Indian Day festivities.
