Each girl naturally does her best in hopes that she will make the team. After much hard practice and many sore muscles, the best girls are chosen. Then the team really gets down to work so that they can become a good team capable of outplaying opposing teams, thus bringing glory to West. When the season starts, everyone soon knows that their work was not in vain, for the games they win are certainly proof of their success. Our students will recall that we have never been lower than second place in county competition in regard to the safety program. This year we are competing with other schools throughout the state, and we know that the competition will be keener than ever before. But several programs have been completed and others are still in process. 1 he sum total of these, we feel, will be among the best efforts in the state. Congratulations to our seniors who have done a fine job in the past years and are working hard again this year. bow arrow First row: Wilma Canaday, Editor- in-chief; Carol Suman, Associate Edi- tor; Tommy Dickerson.
