Coach Rollins' men really put up a battle. ln game after game the LlONS held tight to their reputation of being a second-half ball club. They ended their season with'a record of six wins, two losses and one tie. Ed Dierickx was named lVlr. Touchdown and Bob Moravec was named most inspirational player and team captain.

Jeff Lee - End Gordon Graham - Tackle Rick Fosberg - Guard Randy Kearns - Center Previous to the ringing of school bells, the W.L. LIONS could be found on the football field readying themselves for their first game with Tillamook. A clean victory over the Cheesemakers set the pace in the games to follow. Tremendous spirit and courage characterized the LIONS as they took on the lVlclVIinnviIle Grizzles. They fought hard and their morale was not dampened as the Grizzles slipped by the LIONS, 28-27. With five wins and two losses under their belt, the LIONS went into the Oregon City game, bound with determination and victory their goal. The LIONS came out of the game proud and happy as they ended their season with a 26-0 win over the Pioneers. A proud coach, Dan Flollins, said My boys were GREAT.
