All the members Kappa Pi have achieved at least fifteen hours ol' B art work. The aims of the fraternity e to maintain a better understanding and appreciation of art and to produce art of fine quality. Kappa Pi On May 21, 1960, Delta Omega Chapter became the l l0th chapter to be installed by Delta Sigma Pi. Delta Omega Chapter is the only professional fraternity on campus and the only Dellq chapter ol' Delta Sigma Pi in the state of West Virginia. Sigma Pi Under the capable leadership of President William Kaikis and faculty advisor Ronald Sagraves, the chapter began its first year by touring the Wheeling Steel Works at Yorkville and Steubenville. Speakers in many phases of business were invited to speak before the chapter members. Other activities included a float in the Homecoming Parade, the sale of school sweat- shirts, and the sale of refreshments at home football games. 119

CHI BETA PHI FRATERNITY To provide scientists of tomorrow is the goal of Chi Beta Phi, the national honorary science fratern- ity. The fraternity has or- ganized an employment a- gency in conjunction with the various industries in the valley. This agency provides science majors and minors with part-time employment in their field in order that they may put into practice, under work- ing conditions, the know- ledge obtained in the class- room. The sponsor of Chi Beta Phi is Dr. Clyde Campbell. ALPHA PHI SIGMA Alpha Phi Sigma, na- tional scholastic honorary, gives recognition to stu- dents who maintain high scholastic averages. Hav- ing maintained the requir- ed 3.5 average for two consecutive semesters, ten new members were initi- ated at the annual fall ini- tiation. The annual ban- quet was held January 29 at Wilson Lodge. The Al- pha Phi Sigma Key is awarded annually to the outstanding senior mem- ber. Some ol' thc main projects included a Shave and Haircut, a Valentine Party for St. Vincent's Orphanage, an annual show en- titled This ls Your Life, College Jane, ax car wash, and a dinner dance.
