PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLUB The Physical Education Club is dedicated to the pro- motion and advancement of physical education. Their main objective is to promote better interest and a more active participation in girls' sports. The members serve as referees during the girls' intra-mural basketball games. Under the leadership of Presi- dent Juli Orsini. the club has gained in membership and prestige. The sponsor is Mrs. Melissa Provancc. MEN'S GOVERNING BOARD SHOTWELL HALL The purpose of the Governing Board is to watch over Shotwell Hall day and night with little or no credit. Their job is to keep order and unity through- out the men's dormitory. This group sponsored a party for all the boys in Shotwell Hall. WOIVIEN'S GOVERNING BOARDS ROGERS HALL GOVERNING BOARD Composed of representatives from each class, the Rogers Hall Governing Board operates with the assist- ance of Miss Harriett E. Ream. Dean of Women, and Mrs. Amy Hamilton, Resident Director. They work for agreeable living conditions and to maintain quiet hours in the dormitory. The board's responsibility is to appoint proetors and to post new rules concerning the women. Both governing boards together held a Smarty Party for all the women who made the Dean's List. Ream, Dean of Women, and Mrs. Elizabeth Murray, Resident Di- rector, the Shaw Hall Governing Board performs the same duties as Rogers Hall. Composed of students interested in dramatics. the group presents two plays a year. A Visit To A Small Planet, a comedy, was presented in the fall and a dramatic pro- duction, Glass Menagerie was presented in the spring under the direction of Vernon D. Reimer. The organiza- tion presented a float in the Homecoming Parade and were hosts to the Annual High School Drama Festival. They climaxed a year of activities with a picnic. Denise Gallagher served as president. ALPHA PSI OMEGA Alpha Psi Omega, thc national honorary dramatic fraternity, work hand-in-hand with the Hilltop Players on the major productions of the year. The Alpha Psi members attended a Jerome Kearns' musical produc- tion, Leave lt To Jane in Pittsburgh. Visiting other college campuses during the year to view their plays is enjoyed by all thc members.
