Althouj;h the class has made no great accomplishments, many of the members took an active part in the organizations and functions of the school. Ruth HofTman, Laverna 15onar, Nancy Radovich, and Homer Cooper have frequently held places on the honor roll. Earl Hamilton, Woodrow Ciregory, Leroy Spearc. and Albert Grose were chosen to be among the iirst ten jilayers ol the basketball squad. H S FRESHMEN First Row: David Armstrong. Second Row: James Barnett, Helen Friend, Martha Morrison, Wilma Rowan, Janet Wolfe, Virginia Burley. Third Row: Harold Winter, James Grose, Henry Payne, Thomas Bowman, Harold Thornburg. President Dorothy Caseman Vice-president ..Sara Besco Secretary-Treasurer Thomas Bowman Faculty Advisor. Mr. Walter (larrison The sophomore class started to make money during the early part of the year in preparation for the Freshman-Sophomore party which they sponsored at the end of the year. Money was made by selling candy at noon periods anil at all basketball games. The class was well represented in the Pep Club, Lambi Chi, Student Council, and Chorus. Marjorie Drummond received one of the leads in the operetta. Sara Besco, Marjorie Drummond, and Dorothy Caseman frequently had places on the honor roll. Thomas Bowman was a member of the orchestra, and James Cirosc was the only sophomore who held a (losition on the varsity squad. Thomas Bowman also h.ui a part in the Junior-Senior play. Representatives irom the group were sent to Ogleiiay Park to partici|Kile in the Easter Sunrise service.
