OFFICER O HARA TELLS HIS STORY 9 OH BOY, A F161-ITIL o The band stand was raised on the east end of the floor with the first strains of Stardust written on the front in blue let tering with silver dust on them In the pale light the blue pools of wat er kept up a bubbling effect all evening On the east wall was written 'Welcome Seniors and on the north wall was a huge yellow moon below which was an artificial pool sur rounded by evergreens r ,,5- ,1-'iF-u- -if Junior-Senzor Prom With Stardust as a theme, the classes of '49 and '50 gathered at 8300 on Friday, May 13, and contrary to the tradition of the day, had a grand evening of dancing and en- tertainment, 1 Stan Stanley's orchestra provided the music and Dick Peters of S.U.I. played the piano for the intermission program, Following the class of '50's class colors, French blue and silver, the entire gym walls and ceiling were decorated in blue stream- ers with aluminum silver stars placed close together all over. Ice cream strawberries and angel food cake were served in the Milky Way Cafe an alcove decorated very similar to the main ballroom Blue programs with silver stars on them llsted the dances for the evening Mr Toft sponsored and his untiring ef forts were appreciated The chaperones were Mr and Mrs Ronnie Brotherton Mr and Mrs Irwin Mosher and Mr and Mrs John Kirby 91 ll ll I ' 1 .
