They won a consolation trophy in the llins- dale South Christmas Tourney, which very few VW-st Leyden freshmen teams have done. The leading scorers were joe Zelas- ko, Len Culino. and Doug Mermuys, This years lfreshrnen 'B' team was not as successful was hoped. They did. however, gain more experience in the funda- mentals of the game, Dave Coffman was the teamls captain. Dave and lim Auchincloss were the most valuable players. Other players who received recognition were Tony Coco. lim Peterson. and .Xl Bruzzini. Grapplers Second Wrestling has been a big sport at our school for many years. This one was no exception. The wrestlers showed the stune aggressiveness and determination. They finished the season in second place. In districts five qualified for sectionals. They were Rick Alrnada C1051 Ed Perry 11121, Huy Bruntz 11261, Ron Lernun- czyk tl3SD. and -lim Hartney 41671 There were also six third place medals.
