Team Tried The 1971 Sophomore Cross-Country team was coached by Larry Crip- pin and Don Sage. Although this group of boys had good experience and ability, the league was full of top-rate Sophomores so that competition was often very toughf, explained Coach Crippin. Despite this, Captain Don Kingsmill placed eleven times in the top five, while XYalter Davis placed eight times in the top five. The coaches have great expectations for this group of runners.
