This Was The Place To Be The 1971 Varsity Football team lived up to the recogni- tion which they earned last season. They broke the five year homecoming jinx, beating Willowbrook 20-15. Fourteen new records were established this year. Charlie Halan and Frank Fallon were team captains. jay Bodine and Ron Lemanczyk were chosen as the most valu- able players. Five players, Ron Lemanczyk, Charlie Halan and Frank Fallon for offense, jay Bodine and Dan Rogala for defense, made all-conference. Four other awards were given to players for their efforts this year: Vito Andriola, Mr. IIOZ, jay Bodine, Star Award, jim Costantino, Hatchet Award, Ron Lemanczyk and lay Bodine, 1000 yard club.
