The Sophomore and Varsity cheerleaders promoted school spirit. They cheered in the inner court on Fri- days during the football season. Marcia Comp and Debbie Agnes attended summer cheerleading camps in the summer. Making locker signs and cheering at football games and basketball games make up a great part of school spirit. The sophomore squad went to Indiana State University for cheerleading. Both squads do a great deal to support our teams. Ritacco, C. Sturm, I. Girls' Intramurals is the place to be if you like fun and enjoy physical education. Activi- ties include competitive sports such as bowl- ing. tennis. and softball. This year Cirlis Intramural members spon- sored the first sportsnight of the year, on Sep- tember IO. Entering a float in the Homecom- ing Parade, the club received third place with the slogan: Whip the VVarriors. Other activities of Girls' Intramurals were the Kings Prance, held on Ianuary a car wash on April 15. and 4 volleyball and softball sports days. Leaders ROWV I -- C. Ciacchetti. I. Schutlz. M. Comp. During their junior year, these girls are taught skills which they will use in their Senior year while teaching and aiding in the field of physical education. Observations of younger classes and four teaching experiences are the requirements in this class. As a Senior Leader. the girls help all girls, physical education teachers. They demonstrate techniques and aid the teachers in all active sports. The girls use their own free time to aid these classes. Two one hour sessions a week are required as a minimum of a Senior leader. 140
