Six would-be actors, who live together, try desperately to get their play viewed by Aurthur Kenny, a prominent play producer. Theiconflicts begin when Muriel, a friend from Dottie's hometown, threatens to expose the way Dottie is living. Mrs. Garnet, the landlady, adds to the confusion by always show- ing up at the wrong time to collect the rent. Mac and joe, policemen, bring hysteria into the play by believing a mur- der has been committed. All ends well with Dottie marrying Norman, This play was put on stage November 19 and 21 at 8 p.m. It was also shown on November 21at2 p.m. 123

Forensics Forensics - Comedy reading and after dinner speaking are just two ofthe 11 individual events that students compete in weekly at speech tournaments. The ll events are judged according to the Illinois High School Association rules. This yearws team coaches are Mr. Vaughn and Miss Schmoll. The stu- dents compete for points as well awards, a student earning 25 points or more is eligible for membership in the NFL. ROVV 1 - Thespians The National Thespians Society is an honorary club for those students excelling in dramatics. The main objective is to sponsor plays and en- courage new personalities in the theater. This year. National Thespians sponsored the Spring play, Romeo and juliet. They also were engaged in the Christmas assembly with The Run Away Presents, and the Nlay Speech Arts Ban- quet at which Oscars are given for acting and technical theater accomplishments.
