Industrial Arts Receives New Equipment The Industrial Arts Department offers students an opportunity to explore interest and aptitudes and to gain basic knowledge and experience in several areas. The drawing room got a dry printer this year, which is the newest process for turning out blue prints. The woodshop has received a high speed router which makes scallops and decorations on the face, edge, or end of wood. The metals class has acquired a paint spraying booth and a combination heat treating, forg- ing, and melting furnace. 27

A new course, Specialized Swim, has been added to the Girls' Physical Education Department this year. In this course, students were given an opportunity to improve on the old and new swim strokes. They were also able to perform synchronized swim strokes ac- cording to their level of ability and basic scuba diving techniques.
