The Freshman 'A' Basketball team, coached by Ste- phen Sallee, was one of the best freshmen teams in the history of the school. The team developed the basic skills of basketball and finished with an 8-3 conference record which was a second place finish. Sophomore Team: ROW7 KLEFT TO RIGHTX M. Halan, F. Sullivan, M. Ginski, 1. Pochodenko, T. Plazyk, D. Schwemin. ROW 2, Coach Soph Basketball The Sophomore basketball team, coached by Phil Waddell, improved greatly over their freshman show- ing. Although they had a conference record of 4-10, and a season record of 7-14, the individual players made vast improvements on their skills. Several of the players will be playing on the varsity team next year. Mike Spejcher was the most valuable player on the team. lim Constantino was voted the most inspirational player by his teammates. Dan Rogala lays the ball in against stiff competition. The freshman B team coached by Dan Meyer was also one of the best freshman teams in the history of the school. A valuable player and their team captain was Sandy Suidyla, Other valuable players were Larry Olson, Don Adam, joe Azzarretto, Bruce Kishch, Ken Kempton and Mike Lavery. Their conference record was 6-5, which put them in a fourth place finish. The team established the record of the longest game with four overtimes at Downers Grove South. They won the game 41-39.
