Fortunes of the Future was sponsored by the Cheerleaders and Pom Pon Girls for the first time and featured the Gary Egerton Quartet. After a few hours of dancing, most couples went to various restaurants to enjoy a quiet dinner. Perhaps this was the beginning of a new romance.
