Forensics Forensics is a speech club made up of students who compete in weekly speech tournaments. These are several different events which are judged according to the Illinois High School Association rules. This year's forensic team competed in many tournaments this year and at one tournament they took a first place in Read- er's Theatre with their presentation of Spoon River Anthology. Debate The 1970-71 season has been a hectic one for the debate team. This year's topic was Resolved: that the federal government should establish, finance, and administer programs to control air andfor water pollu- tion. The team attended DesPlains Valley League t0ur- neys and numerous invitationals. On Dec. 5th W.L. was host school for a tournament involving over 25 schools. Technical Theatre This is the first year technical theatre is being recog- nized in the school yearbook, but it's something that should have been done long ago. The students in tech theatre spend many long hours during school and on their own time putting together the sets for all school plays and operating the lights for all school concerts and auditorium activities.
