Barefoot In The Park This year's fall play Barefoot in the Park proved to be another West Leyden success. A Neil Simon smash comedy hit, Barefoot lured theatre goers to the West Leyden auditorium for a truly enjoyable evening. The situation deals with a newly married couple, Paul and Corie Bratter, settling down to married life just af- ter their honeymoon. They soon find it's not so easy to be alone with a nosey mom, an elderly attic tenant and constant trouble with their newly installed telephone. Before long they begin to have their own little dis- agreement which flares up into a major crisis , But all is solved in an uproariously funny ending, as Paul comes back home stone drunk to a worried, waiting and sincerely sorry Corie. The success of Barefoot in the Park is not soon to be forgotten in the history of West Leyden plays. TOP: Paul and Corie in the mid- dle of a major crisis. Yi- an I H Ten Little Indians went out to dine. One choked his little self and then there were nine. That was the be- ginning ofa sadistic poem which greeted ten guests on an island off the coast of Devon, England. That was lust the start of West Leyden's first murder mystery, Ten Little Indians, by Agatha Christie. It was sponsored by the National Thespian Society and was a great success which left the entire audience glued to their seat with shock after blood-curdling shock. In Agatha Christie's suspense filled murder mystery, ten people were invited to an island off the coast of Devon. Their host was unknown to all of them until his voice interrupted their dinner with accusations against every one of them. Then it happened ... one by one they were killed, each death coinciding with a verse of the poem on the mantle. Everytime a death occurred one of the small Indian dolls disappeared. It continued on until One Little Indian left all alone, he went and hanged himself and then there were none. Ten Little Indians
