Mental Health Organization M.H.O. is a club organized to help students under- stand the lives of the mentally handicapped. Visits are made monthly to the Illinois State Hospital. Modern Books Social Studies Seminar's main purpose is to explore the vast field of social studies and to promote a better understanding of the contemporary as well as historical problems of the world. Their main activities for the year were going to see Cone With the Wind and a two day trip to Nauvoo, Illinois, an old Mormon settlement. The purpose of Modern Books Discussion Club is to read and discuss modern and significant books not covered in regular English classes. Mr. Tweed sponsors the club.
