MUS C CLUB Mr Ryan Mary Ann Hlmt, Patsy Dusel, Dons Burkms, Judy Dowd Dorothy Book NDER the direction of Mr Ryan the Music Club has accomplished a lot this year Even though there are only five members, they all enyoy music and therefore have learned a great deal Some of the records that have been played are as follows Porgy and Bess by George Gershwin Petrouchka by Straivmsky The setting is a Russian fair The music is brilliant and was first played m 1911 Many vocal records, including Pagghacci lpuppetl by Caruso, a great Italian tenor, now dead Gypsy Airs, also played by Yoso Kyphos, who is known for his perfection Sea Interludes Sunday Morning, by Benyamin Britten 1Modern Englishl Opera La Boheme by G Puccim fThe club followed along with the scor D They study not only music, but also art Mr Ryan displayed A Girl Before A Mirror, by Pablo Picisso, in LIFE magazme modern art Art was then compared with music The club has been planning to go to Hershey or Philadelphia to see a musical show OF FIC ERS President Patsy Dusel Vice President Doris Burkms Secretary Mary Ann Hunt Treasurer Dorothy Book Historian Iudy Dowd 51 1. . 2.
