[foreword The pages that follow in our 1961 LEOPARD are intended to chron- icle the events of the school year past that were of concern to the students and their instructors, whose voices were heard in the class- rooms and corridors of dear old West Lamar. The sages tell us that memory fails, and that is is well to have a record in black and white to authenticate the stories of youth that die in the passing of years. So, we feel that the time and effort that produced this book is justified if it serves to recall a cherished memory - - - a moment or an hour, or a recollection of joy and exuberance that were ours during our days at West Lamar in 1960-1961.
