QIfLl0l 6 Now that we are Semors we can look back upon our tnals and trrbulatrons throughout our school years w1th much amusement Wmth our many act1v 1t1es thrs year we can hardly beheve that at one t1me we went to school only halt days and had to be persuaded to take rest per1ods on our l1ttle rugs The frrst three grades were hrghlrghted by rhythm bands butter churmng and a mock mar rrage between Pam and N1ck w1th Rev Carter performrng the ceremony Recess was a welcome change from our schoolwork Then came fourth grade and the exc1tement of mov1ng upstarrs The m1d semester students Sklpped a half year to make our class blgger and better Noble atta1ned the d1st1nct1on of belng M1ss Iones sugar bowl on her table of love Mrlk and crackers were a tasty 1nnovat1on after recess every mornmg P1g Latrn 1n M1ss Kents room also took up plenty of t1me and 1t was then that scarlet fever h1t 1ts peak Then came the long awalted day we moved up to Iunror H1gh The lockers and changmg classes every hour thoroughly confused and frustrated us To add to thls there were the exc1t1ng frre chutes wh1ch the boys seemed to enloy partlcularly There was the thrrll of our frrst dances and the g1rls w1ld crushes on the hrgh school boys We were the fxrst Freshman Class to go up to Semor H1gh School It was qurte an honor and we PII '7 The Senxor Class othcers are Ioanne Lakxn sec retary Iohn Castell treasurer lean Evans presr dent and Pat Smrth vrce president Howard Evans sponsor rs not pxctured havent let anyone forget 1t s1nce Thrs was the year West Slde beat Ieff 13 0 Talk about school sp1r1t' As sophomores we watched the B team games w1th great enthusrasm and were very proud when two of our members Bob Martln and Deadrock Llvmgstone earned therr letters on the VCl'I'S1lY football team Iohn Korb Ed Brant and Bob Spence were on the baseball team Suddenly we were upperclassmen' We found ourselves present1ng Cheaper By The Dozen Thls was the year of the heartbreakmg Ieff game We were beaten 7 6 on a freezlng November eve nrng Afterwards we forgot our sorrows at Gret s open house We came to school the next mornmg rn lev1s and Tshtrts so sleepy we could hardly walk Most of us soon sklpped out unaware that we would be punlshed later by havrng to come to school on Saturday' We were determmed to have a wonderful sen1or year and so far everythmg has come up to our expectatrons The partres small groups and large groups have held us all together 1n fnendly compamon shlp and we ll forever remember lame s supper and lack s party at hrs farm after the Ieff game Now we are all lookmg forward to Gala Week and Commencement w1th sadness mrxed wzth happmess HL , A251 1 1 ' .
