His advice and guidance enable students to choose courses which lead to vocations for which they are best suited. They will remember him as a friend with whom they did not always agree, but one who was always acting for their betterment and who was usually right. We, the Class of '50, knew Mr. Hammer as a math teacher and principal ot lunior High who became senior high principal the same year we arrived for our high school education. the nerve center The scene of much ol the activity in high school is the office where we take our problems and questions lor Mrs. Preston to solve. She is kept busy with phone calls, mimeographing, typing, and helping Mr. Hammer, so her work seems never to cease, For this reason the students sincerely appreciate Mrs, Preston's will- ingness to help them in her busiest hours.
