Who would ever tell that we had had our f1rst second and thlrd courses at Hender son s? The two step was defrnrtely the rage at that tlme rt even went so far as lessons Mr LaDukes room Ronme Roberts and hm Crrtes eplsode wrth the paddle Pauls Place and the boys gettlng rn trouble walkmg Parky home w1ll be hard to forget ln lunlor l-hgh we found ourselves busy w1th Mrs Gowdy s gulz programs gorng on hayrrdes parttes behlnd the stadrurn and at Ball s where Flashhght Post offlce and Ktng On The Mountaln prevarled The boys were especlally busy standrng at the bot tom of the f1re chute and wrnnmg the unforgettable basketball vlctory ln lntramural Our ffrst dates those ous r1des key chalns and the temptatlon of the crgars wrll remam wrth u Then was the tlme when all the glrls clamored for a rrde on Herblgs put put and loyce sprarned her ankle for the f1rst of seven trmes We were proud of Bee Bee and Sue when they were our Valentlne Queens and our frrst dress up partles gave us a thr1ll Then Senlor l-hgh came rnto vrew we re stlll wlsh mg for an escalator for up that hrlll We were never sure what our locker combrnahons were or what floor -'I we were on but wlth Mr Eddy always ready to help the grrls had when they found some of the senlor boys V1 p I Il P I P 50' and Julie Thompson SeC'e'G'Y looklng therr way and how we scanned the Scar lette lookrng for our name 1n prlnt How happy we were to h1t our lunror year for then we would b able to attend the prom and what fun we had plann1ng 11 and the partres afterwardsl Our play what anecdotes 1t afforded l am sure that Georgranne and Ierry wont torget and that rmmortal crash of dlshesl The week ends at the lake must have brought about the festlve rnoods of the clrppers and perox de bottle for 1t certarnly h1t the 50 class ln a b1g way Durmg our 1un1or year we were also grven the opportunlty of choosrng some electlve courses and all hurrled to slgn up for Mr Marcn s excellent one on football The frrst thrng that h1t us IU our senror year was Mr Hopklns mustache then ame our turn at the Blg Tree week ends at the lake partles after the New Year s Eve Dance and sellxng of Chnstmas Cards statronery and Annuals Odr Senlor year soon drew to a close wltn our Senlor convocat1on play Meet Me rn St Louts and an unforgettable gala week As we walked across the stage to rece1ve our d1plomas the blue and whlte robes of our classmates to our surprlse seemed a lrttle blurred I . . . . , 4 , , A 1 I , , . . i . . .
