Without the Art Department and the continu- ous effort and help of MRS. GWEN HAMMER we would be unable to express our original ideas and feelings as we try to better ourselves in painting, poster-making, sculpturing, clay mod- eling, and leather Works. This is one class where we appreciate the criticisms of our fellow artists as it always helps us to achieve the praise we are all longing for. In a world of PEACE domi- nated by science and mechanics, the love of beauty and its expression plays an important role in the understanding of the cultural back- ground of other people upon whom we depend to keep the PEACE.
