R i C hard Lowe The members of the class of 1930 are preparing for their last year, ing to finish with a record of which they may be justly proud. The choosing of our class sweaters and presenting the Junior Play Sinks hop- were the two main events of the first semester. At the time of the jefferson-XYest Side football game the junior Class took over the sale of tickets and Got out a B good crowd, The class is looking forward to entertaining the Seniors at the annual reception. Our class has been very well represented in athletics and other activities. Several new members have entered our class, and we hope they will with us and graduate with the best class in the history of XYest Lafa High School, the Class of 1930. DECEMBER, 1928 Monday, 3-Back to school after four days' vaca- tion. TlI0Sd8Y. 4-Senior class meeting at noon. Our pictures will be ready Thursday. Wednesday, 5--The football boys receive their awards. Thursday, 6-Millard says it's too cold to look at pictures outside. Friday, 7-West Side-Monitor game. We were de- feated, 23-16, but it won't happen again. M0l1d8Y, 10fThe Sunshine Christmas Festival is being highly advertised. Tuesday, 11-Everyone seems to be taking the flu. Wednesday. 12-Mr. Gardner and Miss Schaaf are out with the flu. Thursday, 13-Any time you get real thirsty, ask Mary Jeanette to tell you how a drink of water tastes about the 6th period. Priscilla ac- cidently 1?J dropped her book on the stairs and, as luck would have it, Walter came to the rescue. That wasn't intentional, was it? Friday, 11-Someone must have greased the stairs. Three people have fallen today. They faw down. Attica-West Side game, and we won again, 38-33. Monday, 14-Staff Meeting. Tuesday, 15-Priscilla says we must put on a new High School Building. Wednesday, 16-Mr. Gardner tells us about the shoes in Europe. Thursday, 17-The smallpox is taking our bas- ketball team. Friday, 18-Last day of school-for those who got exempt. Battle Ground-West Side game. We lost, 34-29. Saturday, 19-Morenci-West Side game. They won, 27-25. Monday, 21-Finals. Tuesday, 22-Finals. Wednesday, 23-Finals, Friday, 25-Jeff-West Side game. 32-14. Monday, 28-Not mentioning names, hut two sophisticated Seniors got lost in Trig. class this afternoon. Tuesday, 29vConvo. this morning. Mr. Koon talked to us about helping to buy an elephant for Columbian Park. Also Mr. Burtsiield is in- terested in starting a High School Band. Wednesday, 30-Staff Meeting. Saturday, 2-We played Wea and beat um, 28-14. Monday, 4-The safe in the office was robbed. Tuesday, 5-Send this one in for Nonsense, 2nd period, Miss Cunningham, may I go down to the oHice? Yes, dear, Wednesday. 6-And there was mustard from ear to ear. You see, we had a hot dog sale. Thursday, 7-Miss Cunningham gives us a bit of advise.
